The atmosphere is very relaxed and the owner Christine made us feel very welcome... If you looking for a Greek getaway with great food.. Stop by this place.. The portion sizes are generous and the price is real good. Will definitely go back...

Nikos Restaurant offers great meals at affordable prices. We really enjoyed our time here. Great selection of wines to pair with your starters or main meal. We had the Santorini Baked Feta and Phyllo and Zucchini fries as our 'Meze'. And skinny lamb chops as our 'Kreas'. Great service and highly recommended.

Enjoyed our lunch with the family enormously! The interiour and atmosphere is sincerely greek and the food echo this perfectly. We ordered beef and pulled lamb souvlaki. Both were delicious. The flame grilled meat makes a huge difference to the taste. Even the kids finished their food and enjoyed it a lot. The dessert was the cherry on top... delicious halva ice cream and very freshly made doughnuts with choclate and nuts. Will definitely go back!

If you haven’t noticed, there are NIKOS restaurants popping up all over Jhb. I was even more impressed that the East Rand has got one so soon into the game, as we usually wait forever to get the good places to venture out into the wild East. Not only have they opened up one in Benoni, YES Benoni of all places, but they are in the process of opening one in Modderfontein at the new Flamingo Shopping Centre.

I went over the weekend with my family to try out the Benoni Branch. It is quite a big spacious restaurant. The waiters/waitresses are all on the move, as they were really busy. Décor, is simple yet effective, and gives that cool calm Mediterranean feel.

In terms of the food, this time I just had to try the Skinny Chops (which I am always hearing about) along with my favourite Zucchini Fries. My sister ordered the Skopelos Yiro (with pulled Lamb Kleftiko inside), and my mom took the Chicken Plated Souvlaki.
WOW, my chops were amazing, I would have preferred them a little more crisp on the edges, but the flavour was delicious, and their secret Chop Dip is just divine, its good to dunk your chips in them too J. The Zucchini fries were nice, but not as nicely spiced as the Alice lane branch (sorry peeps). My mom’s chicken was sadly overcooked, and very dry, so we made very good use of my dip and the Tzatziki sauces. My sisters Yiro, was good, and the meat was tender.

As for dessert, we shared the Berry Pavlova with Turkish Delight, and the Galaktoboureko (phyllo served warm with custard filling) which had a slight lemony taste to it. The Pavlova was sadly a miss, the meringue was so hard that we were hacking it with a spoon, and it was very chewy.

They do have a great cocktail selection too, and it’s a nice spot to sit and chill and I see it has become quite popular in the area. So go give them a try, and let me know your thoughts. The service was even on point.

Absolutley loved it. Service and food was great. Food didnt take too long. We had their hummus loaded as a starter...very tasty and then I had the Paros yiro. The beef was so tender and delicious. My fiance had the skinny pork chops.Will definitely come back again!

Really enjoyed our dinner at Nikos! Lots of share plates for a variety of tastes is the way to go here!

Love it here, my waitress Faith was so kind and helpful, and gave a very great recommendation of what to choose on the menu suited for me and i loved their cocktails, their food is honestly Devine! Also appreciated the little giggle we had while reading the menu and the instructions placed underneath on "how to eat a wrap" was a little entertaining. Love the setting too!
