I love it here. It was very quiet cause of the public holiday u0026 I was looking for a place to just eat something. I'm quite happy that I bumped into a sushi place. Sushi is ALWAYS a good idea ???? The gentleman that helped me was very lovely, patient and had a calm energy to him - odd that I actually didn't get his name actually, I was probably distracted. He was rather sweet. Onto the food, it so happened to be half price Sushi Wednesday, yaiy for me! In my head, I automatically wanted to eat everything - not cause of the special but because every time I have sushi it's at a sushi buffet so I think my mind has ruined me. I ordered some amazing menu items to nibble u0026 try, I must say I wasn't too disappointed at all.

I loved the presentation of the sushi u0026 the taste of the Inari sushi (with bean curd), it was just divine. I also loved the deep fried salmon u0026 avocado roll which had the most amazing flavour combinations to it. It was so perfect. Last but not least, I tried something really new in the spinach fried dumpling. I honestly didn't know what to expect u0026 I thoroughly enjoyed it when I tried. With the accompanying chilli sauce, it made so much sense. On it's own, you wouldn't be wrong to think it was a bit bland. But overall, it's lovely.

Aesthetically, it's not wow. It's literally like any other fast food takeaway spot so don't have expectations on how it should look like. But still, I enjoyed this fully.

Worse service ever ! Pathetic how they just stay at u when u and give u excuses when the food is not ready . 45 minute wait which I placed telephonically . Got there was not ready so I went to pick n pay and came back and was still not ready . Stood and waited another 15 minutes and my sushi was still not ready . The manager is useless no apology. Just stares and has a good laugh with his team that seem to just walk all over him . The service has just become worse with time . Definitely will go elsewhere.

Absolutely a waste of time.
Waited an hour for meal to come out, honestly an hour.
I thought let me taste the dish before I review, 1 was good, the other was thrown in the bin.
Disgusting service disgusting food.

I have been an avid Simply Asia fan for years. It is a place where the food is exciting and fulfilling for vegans.
However, Benmore Gardens branch has lost a fan this evening.
I called the branch to confirm they can make sushi with rice paper as I cannot eat Nori. They confirmed. I went. On ordering I was told they can only do the bamboo sushi (explanation did not make sense to me!). The item is usually made with avo, salmon and caviar. 4 pieces for R59. The vegetarian version has just avo with rice paper instead of Nori... For the same price!!! Salmon and caviar are the most expensive items in that dish. Take those away, surely there is a better price when of 6 Maki is R32!
How can this be right?
I left feeling distinctly unheard.

Waiter was very efficient the kitchen had our food on time. Well done keep it up.

Great place at the Benmore Centre for an authentic Thai meal.
I have tried the 3 branches of Simply Asia in Port Elizabeth and there is no comparison.. Here the food tastes like Authentic Thai Dishes..
Great waitrons and excellent service...

Best place to get a tasty meal. I got quite unlucky with the gluten allergy, and I couldn't visit this place anymore. If they update the menu with Gluten free items, that would be great.
