Oh man this has to be one of my most favourite spaces to be at, It ritually feels like you are outside of the city of joburg, these guys sell the most Affordable vegetables in town, they only do organic stuff; we all know what that means healthy lifestyle in the flesh.
You find all seasonal foods theres a canteen aswel to sit and eat, pick from the Garden and cook.

A natural produce farm in the big city. Get your vegetables picked for you while you wait. Real Farm supply pricing will add to the taste. Herbs with real flavour and fragrance. You'll go just for the fresh mint but there are plenty of greens. A stunning project that is uplifting.

Organic veg picked on your request. Delicious, generous quantities.Garden resources like seedlings, compost, planters, worms tea for sale. They teach people to farm sustainably and organically. You can order for it to be ready for collection. Manager Thabang is very efficient and helpful.

A little hidden gem. This urban garden is looking lovely with most of the produce grown and the gardeners are using great effort and pride in taking care of it too. Worth a visit and buying some produce from them.

This community garden grows a variety of organic vegetables and sells seasonal boxes of surplus by appointment at excellent prices. These were picked and washed for us freshly picked out of the soil. Siyakhana also sell seedlings of kale, beetroot, spinach, chilli, and much, much more. You can tour the gardens and chat to the growers - who share the ethos that vegetables must be grown with an open heart.

Gardens are really worthwhile but a little tricky to find in their fenced off enclave in the middle of the Bezuidenhoud Park, accessed off a rugged track. On the Saturday we went, the park itself was somewhat unkempt and, except for a soccer team in a distant corner, virtually unoccupied.
