You go to Turn n Tender to eat meat. Steaks, Fillet, Chicken or Ribs. Nothing is cheap on the menu. A new 750g of steak can set you back almost a R1000. You will get parking money for change. So you expect the meat to be good and as any restaurant of this nature, good service should come naturally. Thats basic. The hostess was friendly, seating was prompt. Despite concrete floors, the place has a cozy feeling. The service was efficient initially, then it got slower and worse. Nothing bad, but had to asked 4 waiters at times to get something. Each time i drop a star. The waiter was busy, however that is not my problem. He attended well to other tables, hower was slack. The ribs were a huge disappointment. I would not recommend the Beef ribs as the meat tasted a bit off. Not in like in a matured steak. When pork, fish or chicken is a bit off, u taste it immediately. Beef is different, it can mature a bit, but these ribs bordered on that. Has been many times at this TnT and wanted a good rib experience. Sadly not. It was well prepared and tender. Given. Just the taste... needless to say took a doggy bag for whole rack of ribs and this time the dog had R350 of ribs. Yummy. He is not complaining. The waiter didn't even get it when we told him the ribs were not good and therefore the doggy bag. He turn around and left. So did we. Disappointed. Many steak houses with better steak and definitely better value. A prime price, need a great piece of meat. Not this time. Will not go back easily.
