We did the Soweto tour today with Khutos who was amazing! The whole booking process was easy, over WhatsApp, they got back to me quick and were very professional, payment was easy too. The tour itself was fabulous and respectful. We were given lots of info and came away understanding so much better. I can highly recommend this trip - added bonus for us was that we were able to be dropped off at the airport. Be sure to take tip money with you to be able to give thanks and help the community.

I joined the full day Johannesburg tour which included Constitutional Hill, the Apartheid museum and a visit to Soweto.
As Johannesburg was only a stopover for me on the way to tanzania, I almost didn't worry about doing any sightseeing. I'm so glad I decided to book this tour. It was so much better than I expected and gave me such an insight into the history of south Africa, which I have realised I was very naive to prior to this tour. All the places visited were amazing and very eye opening and informative. However what made the tour exceptional for me, was our guide Khutso. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, fun and open to answering any question you may have on anything to do with south Africa and the locals experience of living through this tumultuous history, which is almost too recent to be classed as history.
Do yourself a favour and book this tour if you are in Johanessburg, it's an experience you won't forget.
Thanks Khutso!

We went with MoAfrika on the Soweto tour. It was awesome. We spent more than half the day touring and we learnt so much. Our guide was well educated and knew everyone wherever we went. My favourite part was being introduced to the children in the townships. I will never forget this experience. Such a great eye opener. Enter this tour with an open heart...
We visited:
- Regina Mundi Catholic Church (one of the major uprising supporters)
- Mr Mandela’s house
- Mr Hector museum
- Townships.
As I said above, I loved the township. It was so beautiful meeting all the kids. I did go back to my air conditioned hotel and cried my eyes out. How did I deserve a nice meal when these little children could not even get electricity to power their tin shed homes? They knew nothing but happiness. Truly an eye opener.

Went on the full day Soweto Museum plus Apartheid Museum tour with guide Tsholo.
He really is making and effort for everyone to have a good time (even tho some tour member did not speak English very well). You could tell that he is a local and knows what he is talking about.
He drives careful and makes a stop whenever you want.
Lunch break was also quite good since it was a traditional BBQ at Orlando towers.
The whole day was very very interesting and I would do it all over again, especially after I know what I will get for my money.
I can highly recommend Moafrica tours and Tsholo.

What a fantastic trip ! We did the Soweto half day tour and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our guide Thabang was passionate , lively and so informative - would recommend to anyone visiting Joburg. We felt extremely safe and welcome by the people of Soweto.

We went on a tour of Soweto which included a shanty town tour. It was a very different but worthwhile and meaningful experience. The your also included a visi to Vilakazi Street and Mandela House. MoAfrika guides were very knowledgeable and the tour was well organized. We learnt a lot about the history and resistance during the apartheid era. The story regarding the shooting of Hector Pieterson was particularly moving. Highly recommendable.
