I visited Hansome Home on Tuesday June 7 between 2-3 pm with my mom.
There were 2 people at the desk, a young lady and a young man.
I went into the shop already knowing what I'm going to buy, but ended up spending unnecessary as always because they really have some nice things.
We continued to do our shopping as usual and needed a price check on a scarf as there wasn't a price. I went to the desk and asked the young lady for someone who can give me assistance. She continued to "shoo" me to the back and told me to go look for someone to help me. I then continued to check every row for someone to assist me where I couldn't find anyone, like the first time when I looked. I then went back to her (where she was busy arguing with a customer at the till because she overcharged the customer) I then continued to tell her there is no one there and that it is not my place to have to search for someone to just assist me with something quickly after I asked for assistance. She ignored me with attitude. She then started yelling at my mother how I must just look for someone else to help me because she is busy. I told my mother to leave everything. And we left.
I then went back in to ask for the Owner of the shop, the young man at the desk told me he is the owner. I then told him I'd like to lay a complaint because this is not how you treat customers nor speak to them and I was so shocked because this is a first, he apologized. She was standing next to him at the next till helping customers, where she continued to SCREAM at me (in front of the other customers) "What do you want HIM to do? Do you want him to fire me???" she said with an untouchable attitude. She continued to scream at me how I am wrong. She then continued to scream at me "YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL, YOU ARE JUST ANOTHER CUSTOMER!!" "Don't think you are special because you are not!!" I'm standing at the desk asking him how he is standing in front of me, "Owner of the shop" not saying anything nor even stopping her? All the while she was screaming at me, he was on a Videocall with someone else. He completely ignored me and her screaming at me. He apologized again with a smirk.
I'm asking the real owner of the facility to please contact me.
Such staff will be the end of you.
I have been a loyal customer since the opening of the first shop. I can not count the thousands of rands me and my family has spent there, this is my favorite shop between all the Chinese shops in klerksdorp.
I have always been happy to spend my hard earned money there WEEKLY.
I have never had a problem with this shop or its people, I've always loved going in there.
But unfortunately no amount of apologies will make me or my family go there again.
The disrespect was personal.
I'm just another customer, I'm not special, my money is clearly not needed here.
