We enjoyed the food here. The chips were really good. I had the prawn dippers. My husband had calamari, hake and chips. The sweet chilli sauce that came with the dippers were good but I enjoyed the Tar tar sauce that came with my husbands meal more. The owner was really nice and we had a little chat with him which my husband enjoyed.

The seafood was delicious and extremely well priced. Don't let the location fool you as Sailor Sam is a true hidden gem. My boyfriend had the Seafood basket and I had the grilled hake with added prawns. We both had rice and chips. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I will recommend anyone to visit Sailor Sam when in Knysna.

Food was delicious, well prepared. Well situated sitting outside and eating. Bit expensive but worth it.

Stunning good fish at really respectable prices. We just loved the sole and the hake .... and of course the chips are to die for.

Been coming back to this gem of an eating option in Knysna for years. And Ruben, the man of the house is an absolute scream. Always has a wise crack or comment about everything and everybody. Always find popping in here entertaining, refreshing and more important, a place that satisfy your hunger.

Absolutely AMAZING fish and chips! Yum!!! Serves other seafood, there's a small dine in section. Friendly service.
"Halaal Friendly" due to the non selling of alcohol and meat products.
