Adegas full chicken... the hot is not too hot, but im gonna stick with mild in future. The sauce is rich!!

Although this maybe generally a good restaurant and we are a very large group of about 50, the restaurant is only about 60% full and food quality is very sub standard. We are ordering off a set menu also. The "Monk Style" Steak is dry and very well done... I ordered medium. The sauce was nice... Fresh. My companions around the table ordered the king prawns. I had 2 of them. Dry dry and tasteless... Frozen prawns. Nice slap chips with the steak... Real takeaway style. Very very large portions... If you are hungry good. But the portions are overwhelming... European guests mouths open...
The atmosphere is nice generally but could do with some music. The service is very standard... Not bad.

I went for an early dinner during the week. They have succeeded in creating that very elusive casual but chic ambiance. The location doesnt provide any nice views though.
The food was OK. I ordered a combo of prawns and calamari. They were well cooked, but it was clear they weren't caught that morning. Also, the sauce that they basted them with was not particularly nice. But the sauces that came on the side, lemon butter and garlic, were VERY nice. Also, the wine by the glass selection is very slim, with only one choice for both red and white. Our waiter provided a very high standard of service.
Overall, it's OK. Just OK, though.
