Edward the manager and our waiter Mike were pleasantly helpful. I had a hiccup that was dealt with swiftly by both parties and would really recommend this establishment to any one in the vicinity where complaints are dealt with and not brushed aside as bothersome. Ambience is everything

A great establishment with a live Dj.
The price of drinks was abit higher then what I am used to from my favorite drink . Which they didn't have ☹ Aperol spritzer. The service was good and found a new drink for the night.

It was such a lovely experience, visiting News Cafe Midrand.
It was as if I stepped back in time.... right back to the 80s. The music was lovely, the tables spaced out - allowing for privacy during business discussions, service not intrusive and the quality of the food was good.
Definitely worth another visit.

I ordered a T-Bone steak from News Cafe in Midrand via Uber Eats.

It was the tuffest steak I ever tried to eat. Was not able to even cut it with a knife. Very disappointed. Waste of money. On too of that there was no services of salt and pepper

Decided to go out and celebrate in this place. They billed us an incorrect amount, almost R10k and the reversal process took the whole evening. ????????????????????????????????. We were tired and very much annoyed. The food was dry, (not News cafe standard). The service is so terrible. The place was empty but we couldn't get quick service.

Words can’t express my anger, disappointment and frustration. I was here last night, very hungry and decided to stretch a little further into my pocket with the hope of having a good meal.

The meal was nowhere near decent. I ordered a rib on the bone, it’s was VERY dry. I ordered a medium, this was simply overcooked no juices by any chance and probably just tough meat??? Do not get me started on the temperature, it was seconds away from cold. Salad didn’t look fresh either. The lettuce had those brown bits all over.

When I left, I passed through MacDonalds to get myself a meal. Pure robbery, simply turn the place into a bar because yikes. My money gone down the drain. What a shame.

First of all we ordered cheese pap and they didn't have and didn't tell us and just brought us normal pap.Then the food is too overpriced and the service was bad. Lastly they forced us to pay 10% service fee. Please do yourselves a favor and don't waste your time and money by coming here
