The lodge is beautiful, scenery absolutely fabulous, but the management leaves a lot to be desired. They charged R100 per individual just to get into the pool, a cockage fee of R10 000 which was never communicated upfront, R240 to light up own hubbly which was also not communicated up-front. I booked the entire lounge and pool area for the day, but upon arrival I was informed that I had to share the space with other lodge guests. In summary, the management must be trained or changed!

We hosted our wedding reception at Aloe Lane, I love how the decor and ambiance makes it feel like a home away from home. It was a convenient location for a Joburg wedding with a touch of bush. You really feel miles away from the city. We had all our family and close friends sleep over and enjoy breakfast together the next morning. Thank you for making our day so memorable and wonderful.

This place is beautiful and the views too. Only had a conference did not stay over. There is even a friendly tortoise. Professional and friendly place with lovely food and snacks. Bit of a dirt road to get in after you turn off the main road but the dirt road is well maintained and suitable for all cars. Nice out of town vibe and African vibe to it. Very clean.

The venue is quite remarkable. BUT... That is where it stop. The management is non existent, the staff does not know wat is going on. All questions asked, they refer to someone else. Breakfast served from 6:30 to 9:30, but after 8 not yet ready, so we had to leave without breakfast. Coffee and tea are charged per sachet, without any milk or milk powder. The bar menu states all local beers are available, but nothing.. Just after 7 the morning, it was apparently bar fridge stocktaking time. Will not recommend this lodge to anyone.

We celebrated my youngest daughter's 21st at the lodge. A fabulous experience - out of this world !!! . The staff are so friendly and accommodating always there to assist. The food always appetising and scrumptious. We have been there a couple of times now and I must say the beds are extremely comfortable and the furnishings and décor are of the finest quality.

We now always look forward to our return visits.

The welcome at Aloe Lane...is being asked why you are congregating at this venue? I went to drop off my mother to check in and the owner marched to our car as we were about to park and asked did the travel agent not tell us that this was only for two people? after explaining that I live in Johannesburg and am dropping off my mother - he tells us that we must decide if he is reimbursing the travel agent or we are staying? I will never recommend this establishment to anyone - very rude and disgusting behaviour in 2018! Disgusted and certainly do not even deserve that 1 start rating.

Thanks Paul and Tk. The service we've got was out of the world. We received the best service you can asked for. They make 100 % sure there guests got the best service. The food was perfectly done. The interior is very stylish and comfortable. Me and my hubby will recommend this guesthouse for sure to anyone who wanted to get away from the huzzle and buzzle of Johannesburg. Welldone you guys. We will visiting again.
