The food is absolutely good! We really enjoyed our bunnies. The lamb curry was extremely good, it did not have the usual spiciness that associated with Durban curries however the flavor more than made up for it ! Also exceptional service !

So I decided to go taste the food and the Chow Place with my wife for a late lunch. Despite all the reviews and I must say we are incredibly impressed, I bow down to the Chef. We were invited by the mouth watering good curry smell. The Mutton was tender and well cooked. There was enough gravy for our bunny. I'm really going. Thank very much The Chow Place for the Top Durban Chaw flavor.

Ordered mutton curry yesterday and was extremely disappointed with the delivery of the order.
The containers were not sealed or cling wrapped which led to all the gravy falling out.
Ordered before and did not experience this so not sure what happened yesterday.
If people order through Uber Eats/Mr D, the restaurant should ensure that their food is sealed to avoid food falling out of it's packaging.

Walking into this restaurant you can see by the minimalist decor that its all about the food and the food surely does not disappoint one's taste buds. From the usual staples like mutton and chicken curry, to the specialty dishes like crab curry and tripe curry to name a few. The Chow Place has variety. If you ever want to satisfy the craving for good home style Durban curries then definitely stop by and try them out.

My son and I just had the most amazing mutton and cabbage curry served with Roti....I bow to the Chef! Am thinking of going for the seconds....The bunny is equally tops! You want proper Indian food; try this place.....The aroma as you approach the place will make you double hungry!

Very dissapointing. The curry is very oily with almost no flavour and the roti's are floury. We waited almost an hour for a take away meal which we were told would take 20 minutes. The portions look good but it's mostly slop with a few pieces of meat and a small piece of potato if you're lucky. None of my colleagues here at the office will be going back

Given the other stellar reviews of this place perhaps I got them on a bad day but first up, placed an order @12 and was told the food would be ready by 12:15. Food was only ready at 12:55. Broads beans bunny: curry was burnt, had burned beans and burned bits from the bottom of the pot in it and worst of all had zero flavour or heat. Lamb curry was described as tasting like stew by the guys that tried this. Dahl was way too watery. All in all very disappointing and given the wide selection of high quality alternatives in the area I won't be returning anytime soon.
