The Waterfall Park, situated in the heart of Waterfall City adjacent to Mall of Africa was completed to coincide with the opening of the mall (building on Johannesburg’s positioning as one of the largest man-made urban forests in the world). Inspired by New York’s Bryant Park, key aspects of the park include: A wifi interactive choreographed musical fountain. The fountain is a zero level water feature consisting of 157 waterspouts/nozzles and 64 coloured lights. The gardens area is 3 125m² in size and 232 trees are planted here. The park is built on top of five basement storeys and has a sunken ablution. 5 185m² of grass was planted in the park. The park has custom landscape furniture made of concrete, poly-concrete steel and timber. Professional lighting design forms part of the landscaping and amenities. The park will has three amphitheatres, a staging area, exhibition, market space and recreational spaces. The length of the ring road for pedestrians, bicycles, trucks, cars, etc. is 490m (excluding walkways in the middle of the park and service road entrances).
It is home to the Waterfall Market that happens every Sundays from 11:00am - 17:00pm that offers a range of street market style food, drinks and live band music with different food stalls, art pieces and other cool artefacts. Differet fun, fitness and lifestyle events take place at the parka as well. Its a great place to come and unwind with the family and kids when visitng the mall.

The Sunday market presents a great place for food and chillers. Love the set up and variety of food and drinks. Think I will visit every Sunday for the food. Love it.

Nice place to hang out with the family and kids.. they have some kids rides (carnival type) on the roof and a large grassy area.

Great place to take young kids at, if you kid lives some thrill then I would suggest you get them on to the ship! Second time there and so far the consistency is good.
Machinery availability is good, only thing that was unavailable was the jumping castle.
Best advice is to buy the R250 ticket which gives you access to all the machines for a duration of 3 hours.
Enjoy!
