very nice guesthouse, a green oasis in the arid town of Oudtshoorn.
Rooms are a bit vintage but real clean and you have everything you need, we loved the attention to details like the small flowers everywhere in the bathroom!
Very kind staff, always up to help you, we even got our car cleaned!
If you stay here, I would suggest to make a reservation at the restaurant, it is really good!
Also the breakfast was a joy!
When darkness falls and it's clear go outside ang gaze at the stars, an absolute must ;-)
Of course book a tour at the ostritchfarm!

Beautiful country house adjacent to the Ostrich farm. Well appointed, excellent service from Mellissa and the most outstanding dinner and wines. We could easily spend a week her.

An absolute gem in Oudtshoorn! You are close enough to the area's most important points of interest, yet far enough away to be completely relaxed and on your own. The owners will showcase true South African hospitality like no other. Very suitable for both couples and families. Book your stay at De Denne Country Guest House, you will not regret it.

Booked for three nights and after two nights decided to add another to make it a four night stay!! I just had to; De Denne is superb in every respect. An awesome location with views all around.The rooms are spacious,comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast is scrumptious and for dinner the ostrich steak is simply the best I have ever tasted! Staff are welcoming, very friendly and accommodating. The hosts, Johan Keller and his wife, understand what true Karoo hospitality stands for. Very gratifying indeed. De Denne is an absolute 'must visit' destination. And their special tariffs make it one of the best value for money guest houses in South Africa!

I took my mom and little girl for a weekend away in Oudtshoorn and stayed at De Denne for 3 nights. What a treat! We had the most amazing experience. Beautiful accommodation, friendly staff and delicious food AND wine. We were also assist with our weekend itinerary and suddenly the long weekend became too short. There are so many places to visit in Oudtshoorn and all in close proximity 15 - 30 mins away so driving around is not an issue at all. Also plenty to do in the outdoors and fun activities for the little ones - we also ended up feeding the horse and donkey apples and carrots which ended up in a very teary departure...I have no reservations in recommending De Denne and cannot wait until our next trip. The 4 1/2 hours drive from Cape Town was absolutely worth it!!

What an amazing place. Never thought I’d be swimming at sunset in the middle of the Karoo. The food is absolutely amazing. The rooms are so beautiful. You walk in and feel relaxed immediately. Very clean and comfortable environment. Flowers all over the place made it just feel so much more. We will. Definitely be returning. We had an amazing host and all the staff are so friendly. Everyone deserves 10 stars. One of the best features was looking up at night and seeing the stars so clearly. The Milky Way was so spectacular and we could see Venus with the naked eye. If you need a break and just want to take the weight of the world off your shoulders, go here.

Lovely place. Actually too many ants but one survives this. One standout employee was Gabia (sorry if spelling is incorrect). She was really awesome and attentive.
