Location and accommodation, awesome! Kids play area and grounds, top class. Certainly 5 star.

The restaurant in my experience is catering for tourists looking for a dining experience in a historical location. The restaurant staff are friendly and service good. The restaurant quality of food at the price is very over-priced relative to other restaurants in the area. A nice selection of meats, however the quality far from the price.

A great venue, and definitely worth staying onsite.

Disappointing experience. Staff were not friendly or helpful.
Good location, beautiful surroundings. The 1 star is for the room, which was very clean and comfortable.
Sadly, the poor service is the reason for the low rating.
We did experience good service from a lady whose name we omitted to record.

Really neat and well kept lodge.
They have capacity to host lots of people, luckily for us there wasn't many people while we were there (we chose to visit out of season) Luxury tents have electric blankets, aircon and small heater. We enjoyed our stay there.

I’ve tried The Old Mill restaurant.

For me, it was the first time trying ostrich and kudu meat, and it wasn’t a bad experience. The food was a bit unique to me.

- ostrich burger, it was good, tho the buns were bigger than the meat
- kudu fillet
- vegetarian pizza, which was so delicious!

The service needs to be improved as it was sleepy. It took almost 1 hour for the food to come, even tho the restaurant was almost empty.

Accommodation and other amenities were excellent. Very peaceful environment. Coming from Cape Town it was a great surprise sitting in the Klein Karroo and between the Swartberg Mountains.
Only negative was the lousy breakfast on the Saturday morning. There were No Eggs, No bacon or sausages, NOT my view of 4 star rating, that should be there. All the guest have to stand up from their tables every-time to enquire about the eggs, when it came, it was all jelly soft, un-eatable for me and my wife. The plates were also too small, just bigger than a side plate. Above all we had to pay the R290 for the R50 breakfast we had, bad service. Sunday we went to a hotel in town for a beautiful breakfast.

Was amazing place. So relaxing and really peaceful. Even though there was loadshedding, didn't really affect as they have generators.
Only thing is the wifi strength, you have to remember you're in the middle of nowhere and signal comes and goes.

Nice place...just a few small things if u intend on staying longer than a weekend...
Theres no cubboard only a shelve where u can put your suicases on.
No table to prepare food on.
Some units only have a braai outside whereas units around u have build in braai. Not ideal if u plan to braai whole weekend and it rains.
Over all not a bad place to stay over, but not my longterm holiday destination of choice...
