One of only a few fine dining restaurants in the region. Excellent food and wine menu, impressive venue with views over valley and olive orchids. Dishes are well-presented and tasty. Friendly table service. Fairly expensive, but it is worth it. Venue is about 7km outside the town of Oudtshoorn, but has a complementary shuttle service between the town and the venue. Part of Surval Olive Estate which also has accomodation and olive tasting and sales.

It has been an amazing night. We had the ostrich steak and gnocchi neapolitan as a main dish followed by a crème brulé. As a wine we’ve chosen a Shiraz by the glass. Quality and presentation of the food was perfect. But nothing could beat the excellent and pleasant waitress ????

The rating and photos fooled us a bit. A gorgeous place with stunning views, but when we got there the poor Receptionist was the waiter, barista and receptionist for the entire evening. We booked for 6pm, when we walked into the restaurant, there was nothing on the tables, no people and no music playing. Wondered it the place was even open.. We ordered food within 20 minutes and only got the food at 19:20 with about 10 people being there. My husband had the ribeye and said it tasted like it was panfried. I had the chicken fillet which didn't taste like anything, and the table next to us asked for a few things and were told about 3 to 4 times that these items are not available.. We were disappointed to spend so much money on an experience like that, and still feel sorry for the poor guy that had to be everywhere..

Excellent food and view into the nature. Large portions, fresh, homemade and delicious. Try the olive starter and the gnocci.

Beautiful building set amongst lush gardens and adjacent to the olive groves of the estate. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Should the weather permit request al fresco dining underneath the trees. Food is beautifully designed and presented. Menu caters for all requirements. Well planned wine list includes local wines as well as wines from other known regions in South Africa. Service is friendly and very attentive. View of the sunset reflecting on the mountains in the distance completed the evening.
