Birthday feast at Mynhardt’s Restaurant,
Paarl. I am always told my expectations are too high… well, for the third time in my life, Mynhardt did not meet, but exceed my every wish.
We had 30 guests for hubby’s birthday on (literally) the hottest place on the planet.
Not only had Mynhardt purchased another aircon before the event, but when the power failed he had a generator on standby!

The detail in everything he and his team touches are exquisite! From being greeted in the street, shown into parking bays and escorted up the freshly washed staircase to the no famous red door,
right down to the flowers in the loo…

Mynhardt and his team are true professionals! Fabulous host and chef. Every plate looks like a fairytale stunningly garnished with exquisite taste combinations and heavenly wine pairings from Laborie.

WOW!! Unbelievable! BRAVO! And many thank you’s for a perfect feast. Our guest were blown away as were we!

You might have gone to a similar restaurant for some fine dining but you have not done it right if you have not been to Mynhardt's Kitchen. It was an absolute once in a lifetime experience. Staff were very friendly, well trained, polite and everything else that is expected from such a fine dining experience. The food along with the wine pairing was out of this world. Not only did it present flawlessly but it was as tasty as you can ever imagine. I would recommend every single person to add Mynhardt's Kitchen to their bucket list when visiting Cape Town. Paarl is not such a far drive and it is every bit worth the effort.

Everything about this place amazed me like never before.

Excellent, what a Gem, and I visit Paarl regularly and have never known of this restaurant. The whole place is quaint but very tastefully decorated. The ambiance of the restaurant was something you needed to be there to experience, the menu and presentation of the cuisine is really five star class, you can observe the meal preparation from your table, and the restaurant staff are really well trained unobtrusive but second guess your every need. The wine list is a wow, so many KWV wines. We had load shedding while we were having our meal, but no problem the generator was switched on and in the restaurant you could not hear a sound. Will DEFINITELY return when I am again in Paarl. Now I know where to find this gem. Thank you Mynardt and your wonderful staff making my first visit to you magic kingdom a night to remember.
