The best tasting food I have had in Pietermaritzburg yet. I went there for my birthday dinner. I had spicy Thai rice which was cooked to perfection????. The team treated me to a yummy dessert on the house. I am definitely going back????!

An all round excellent Thai restaurant. I have had several meals here and every one of them was delicious. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They also have a really well priced lunch menu, with a great variety of dishes. I would totally recommend this restaurant for a fabulous lunch or dinner. The sushi is always fresh and by far the best in town. My personal favourite is the Thai fried noodles with extra chilli. The serving is also very big for a lunch special. We also tried the fried fish served on a bed of veggies, which was crispy and flavourful.

Firstly, the restaurant looks great and clean. The staff are very good at what they do. The food is made fresh and tastes great. There's quite a number of vegetarian dishes to choose from. They also have teppanyaki. Alcohol is served. The food is well priced and the portions are filling.

Truly surprised. My 1st time having something to eat and loved all 3 meals. Will be back.

Starters Ordered chicken wontons -looked more like dumplings, filling was dry and tasteless.
Chicken Satay - Chicken was overcooked, dry and hard. Came with a sweet chilli sauce instead of a peanut sauce as per menu.
Mains took 50 minutes to arrive.
The spicy rice with prawns had overcooked prawns, to the point of crispiness.
The egg noodles with prawns- prawns were overcooked and chewy.
The angry chicken curry was very enjoyable, but not as spicy as promised. Mild spice level, and thats from a person who does not generally eat spicy food.
First beer was flat, had to change brands after the first one.
Second brand of beer was acceptable.
Nobody wants to go back to this restaurant. Food looked great but taste was lacking.

The food was great. The two front staff had a terrible attitude, I was completely ignored when I greeted them. It felt uncomfortable. Every other food outlet in the center was bustling with customers. Bangkok Wok had no customers at all, it's obvious the staff are not very inviting and keep the customers away with their abrasive attitudes.

There was quick service, large food portions and a great variety of food choices on the menu. We didn't have to wait long at all for the food and the portions do not disappoint. Really enjoyed my experience here, will go again.
