Amazing wide range of breakfast at VERY reasonable prices. I had the biggest flap Jack's I have ever seen in my life.. Very fluffy and light. I enjoyed them.

My date had the Phutupap with chicken liver... And he said it genuinely tastes like how it would be made at home. He loved it.

The service was amazing. The environment was very good.

FYI - it gets packed pretty quickly in the morning. Rather reserve table or come as early as possible like 8am.

My friend and I went to 1855 on a Sunday. We had the breakfast special. It was R45 [excluding drinks; coffee etc]. It was a delicious, good quality breakfast. I enjoyed it. My friend u0026 I arrived at around 10:45 u0026 we were seated at around 11:23, there was quite a long line in front of us; we were told ahead of time that there was a 25 minute wait so I would suggest people arrive early to avoid the queues. The visit was worth it though, the restuarant is quite cute, it looks great. The service is brilliant. I would highly recommend it as a Sunday breakfast place. [FYI: The breakfast special ends at 11:30].

Went to check out this place for lunch, it's situated in a sortve outside food court next to a water feature so it has that ambience but it's a basic straight to the point eatery. When I arrived I was immediately shown to a table and asked what I'd like to drink whilst waiting for my order I was asked for my drink order again by a different waitron, even tho the place was quite busy, the food arrived fairly quickly, it was hot, fresh and delicious. I had a seafood pasta and my companion had a chicken pesto pasta we both loved our meals it was honestly really good, this place is ridiculousy reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Really good selection of food and prepared with care! Best chicken curry I've ever had! Calamari is also unique to me as it's whole squid instead of rings.

I have been to this place many times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and with the special it is a bargain. The service has always been excellent and friendly.

Absolutely the best place in Pretoria east to have breakfast. Especially between 9am-11h30 as they have a killer special where any breakfast item is R45 during this time. This price is a 2021 price. Great service, great variety of breakfast and absolutely devine tea and latte.

1855 looks inviting and is well situated in the lovely Lynwood bridge mall. Their breakfasts are served all day and if ordered before 11am cost only R45 which is an absolute bargain for an English breakfast.
However the wait between ordering and serving was far too long for such an easy to prepare meal and the homemade bread was a disappointment, being much to sweet and fluffy, more like cake than bread.
