Our first trip to Checkers Brooklyn, FNB offers addition loyalty points when shopping at Checkers, so thought it was time to give it a try.
On arrival, support for the Soccer World Cup was clearly evident with all the flags displayed, very colourful.
Place was busy, but not isle blocking busy.
Only a few old metal trollies to pick from, first one had a jammed castor, the one we picked did not look much better.
Directly in front of the entrance are the perishables and frozen food section, meaning that one has to cross passed all the tills to start at the detergents etc. on the far side of the shopping area.
Fair selection to pick from, most have two or three brands to choose from.
Noticed a Price Check Station at the end of the first isle we started in. Very pleased to see, many other grocery stores do not have one leaving the only choice is to proceed to the front of the store and find someone willing to assist.
Following the perishables, there was a fair cheese selection followed by the wine section, some pretty good reds there.
In summary, not to bad compared to other stores.
However, those trollies are overdue for refurbishment.
Will perhaps go back next month.
