Realy nice to see some culture. The restaurant and bar was closed, but still worth a walk. Friendly staff, but no guides to walk you through the park. It was clean and safe.

Back in the days in South Africa, we went to Freedom Park H.S with some friends of mine.
We took a tour of the park , thanks to those who set this heritage site , a lot of history, discovery and teaching throughout evry corner of that park.
I'm pretty proud to say that I have been to such a great place.

This is one of the best places in Pretoria, you will enjoy every second spend there. I like how our African culture and origin is portrait and respected. It has a breathtaking view of the whole of Pretoria. Put on your comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk ????

Great family day out at this heritage site. It's beautifully designed and the staff are so insightful. I would highly recommend going for a visit!

The place explains on what happened back on the days, how people lived and how they were treated
The place got some interesting features to look at, and when you are at the top you going to get a full view of Pretoria.
You will be able to see union building, loftus versfeld stadium, the reserve bank and etc, all at once

Had a fantastic experience at Freedom park. Will definitely recommend it as a tourist destination. Two sections. Indoor museum and outdoor park. Bring your walking shoes, time (4hours) and your picnic basket. Alternatively you can grab a bite at the restaurant on site. We had the best guide, Gift, who added a lot of value to the outdoor tour. Suggest you don't do it on your own. The guides really enrich the experience but be prepared to do a lot of walking. If you come with an open mind you will be enriched.

The exterior leading to the park is not appealing, shady. Once you past that and inside the park, best place for relaxing and learning. Take your kids to learn and exercise.
