Took the dogs for an off the leash hike this morning.

5km, 10km and 15km trails available. We did the 5km which was reasonably easy and fit for a novice hiker.

This inner city hike was quite populated with runners, hikers and other dogs this morning which made it feel quite safe.

No booking required. R50 per adult and R35 for students aged between 13 and 25 years old. You will receive a ticket once you pay which is valid for 7 days.

Take note of the days and times off leash walking is allowed (see photo below). Other activities include mountain biking.

Lovely place to hike. You can opt for a 5km, 10km or 15km hike. The farm is hilly, and there are a few technical sections, but nothing too serious. You can take it easy or up the pace for a great challange. Pack enough water. The only downside is that there are no public toilets, so take a pit stop ahead of time.

Lovely hike. Great trails which were very easy to follow. Very rocky and dry so that's what to expect. Don't forget cash for the entrance fee - uploaded a photo of the prices.

One of the best marked hiking trails, hidden around our door-step. The 10/15km trails are challenging with rocky terrain!

The Cash-Only payment system is such an inconvenience! It would be more ideal if there was an option to pay via a speed point machine.

Terrain is quite rocky and undulating would recommend it for a slightly fitter hiker, my kids and short legged dog struggled a bit, they got tired but that was also due to it being a warm day. There are 5, 10 and 15 km routes available for different abilities. It is required that dogs are kept on a leash but can be let off the leash at certain times. Fees for walking are R55 for adults R35 for teenagers and kids under 12 free.

Nice place. Maybe I might visit again. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because I ran into 4 aggressive dogs. Well, one of them was semi-aggressive and the other two are from the farm, locked in a yard, but then again, it's a fence. Anything can happen. I think dogs need to be screened before jumping on the trail. Most people had to hold their dog as I passed. I'm guessing this beautiful trail doesn't get packed because of this.

The trail is not too hectic, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the 15KMs for any unfit people. No nasty surprises on the trail.

Well marked trail. R55 cash. Mostly rocky terrain. 300m elevation on the 10km trail. A pleasant walk overall except for some litter. The manager was not helpful at all when I asked for info on the trails beforehand. His only info was that it was "difficult" and refused to comment on exactly what that meant. Now I know that he meant rocky. I would classify the 10km as moderate.
