Absolutely loved this dinner, the restaurant has a lovely ambience and the service was exceptional. The waitress recommended mousakka, I don't really like eggplant but this was really delicious. I'll definitely visit this place again. The price range is low to high which means it can accommodate most budgets for a great meal.

Really great servers, disappointing food. Ordered salmon, and received an entire plate of piled white rice and tasteless piece of fish (we doubted it was even salmon). The chef was nice enough to replace the meal with a burger, but it was also unfortunately also quite tasteless. In conclusion, great service and people, but tasteless food.

Nice Father's Day lunch at this great restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive during our visit. A must have is their Fish and Chips, the fish was fresh and well prepared with the potato chips being crispy as ordered. Our portion of Mousakka was a very generous portion, with good flavour but was underseasoned and the flavours embedded in the layers did not quite marry (as one would expect from a traditional dish).

Lovely rainy day lunch at Mythos. The chicken sosaties of the meze meat platter were really good. They stood out in terms of flavour and texture. The single Greek coffee gave me a lot of energy for the rest of the day! The service was attentive and friendly.

Very neat, clean and chilled atmosphere. A bit too chilled in regards to the floor staff if I may say.

I ordered oysters as a starter and OMG! Largest oyster that I’ve seen in the Gauteng area in South Africa. My partner ordered squid heads as a starter and unfortunately no cutlery was given to him so he had to use mine from my oysters. Regardless, I had some and they were very tasty.

For mains I ordered a mixed meze and he ordered a prawn pasta. I found his prawn pasta lacked a bit of seasoning but it was good.

As for my platter, the meat balls were edible if you chewed on it for about 5minutes and then washed it down with a beverage. The beef strips tasted like it had been marinated in the Dead Sea and my pitas resembled charcoal.

The waitress did get me pita’s that were not burnt and they were fantastic. I also enjoyed the chicken from the platter as well as the prawns.

Unfortunately no additional side plates were given to place the shells from our seafood options so we ended up putting it on a serviette on the table which didn’t look good to me but perhaps that’s how Mythos would like their customers to eat shellfish. Floor managers and the waitering staff who passed by didn’t seem to mind either.

All in all, it was pleasant. It wouldn’t be my first choice in terms of eating out but if it’s a first for you then give it a go.

I went out with a group of friends in April 2022. The food was decent but the overall experience could be better. I was happy with the portion, it was filling. The service we received from our waiter was disappointing. I told myself that maybe it’s because he is underpaid and overworked. I asked the waiter if the salad comes with olives and I was told it did but it wasn’t included. The salad pieces were quite chunky. Imagine if you’re on a date and trying to look cute by taking small bites. Please relook chunky size. I didn’t finish my food so I requested for takeout. The items were not packaged nicely and some of my food was thrown out. I wasn’t asked beforehand. I had to ask for additional packaging because I saw that other patreons received it. The ambiance is nothing to write home about. The lighting negatively impacts content creation, maybe it’s where we were seated. You can add a complimentary cookie for those that order tea and it would be nice to include a bread basket because the food took a while plus we were indecisive. Please look into adding fresh red chilli peppers as a condiment. The pricing of the food is good, not expensive.

Lovely restaurant, good service and friendly staff. Food was tasty, but a bit too salty.
