1. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are a black person because your skin color will determine the service you get which is extremely racist and unprofessional to the core.
2. The manager of the place is unprofessional and does not mind breaching your contract her people (white people) could have a pleasant stay while you have an unpleasant stay.
3. Unhygienic, would recommend checking in early so you could clean your room and bring your own blankets and sheets for a comfortable sleep. When we went to sleep we found insects that were alive and some dead on the sheets which puts a question of "when last did they clean this place". Pillows that are suppose to be white are cream white due to the dirtiness.
4. I'm asthmatic due to the cold water that I bathed with and dirty blankets that smelled of dust on Saturday I felt my breathing changing because my chest was closing up likely I had my pumps
5. Wouldn't recommend this place in winter because it is very very very cold and their heaters don't make an ounce of difference.
6. When our organizing team came to this establishment they made it very clear that we are need a place for a prayer camp which will results to noise hence we instruments wee are going to play, they said it is okay they usually host such events its no problem we had over 20 people and the place is expensive we expected to the receive the treatment that amounts to the value of the money we were bringing into the establishment. When we arrived on Friday we set the conference room with instruments, then the other conference room had white women and a few men who complained about the noise levels at first we thought maybe its true we making noise so we reduced the volume tomorrow morning the same white people that complained about noise were blasting speakers and we could hear their sound extremely well and we checked our sound you could not hear it that much so we were suppose to listen to the other team while our team was shut down, Sunday we played with our instruments then the manager switched off our electricity because we are making noise mind you Saturday we listened to white people making hell of a noise and nothing was said to them.
7.The food was taste less and very under cooked.
8. Wont mention who told us but one person in the establishment told us that they don't recommend black people coming when white people are coming, which is a questionable statement. That means the manager takes pride in being racist woman.
9. THE MANAGER IS RACIST

Horrible experience. I won't recommend this place for any black person. The owner of the lodge is racist. She kept on reminding us that she owns the lodge and her rules will apply. We were told that we are loud while the other white group were making noise and they were never stopped. The rooms were never cleaned. There were no towels in the rooms.

Beautiful setting but such disappointing service. We checked in for a wedding u0026 it seemed like the staff were mostly unprepared to receive us. We were a large party of plus minus 20 people, booked in advance. The room I received looked like it had not been cleaned in ages; there were cobwebs behind the wall heater u0026 in the bathroom, insects in the kettle, hot water was extremely scarce which was strange because if you have so many rooms, you should definitely invest in geysers that won't disappoint. The breakfast was extremely basic u0026 we only ate because we were hungry u0026 still fatigued from our trip from Pietermaritzburg the whole day before. Has so much potential but requires better management u0026 staff. I asked for an adapter for my room and the white guy who (half-heartedly, mind you) carried our luggage to our rooms literally ignored my request. Definitely would not recommend it in it's current state to anyone. The only upsides are the chapel and the grounds which were manicured perfectly. The wedding was perfect but the lodge itself needs a complete overhaul.

Never going back. I spent a week there for work reasons and my room was never cleaned. I didn't enjoy the food. I had a horrible experience. The only thing I enjoyed there was the braai the night before I left.

The staff were amazing. Great food. Best place for a Christian retreat

They say they are 4-star but believe me when I say that’s not true. The outside is beautiful and deceiving but their rooms…I was in a bedroom with half blinds u0026 woken up by the sun.
