Great place for a good breakfast or Sunday roast. They do try with their vegan/vegetarian options but I wouldn't recommend the vegan breakfast, which was a disappointment.

The food was excellent but we had to wait so very long for one of the pieces of cheesecake. After half an hour, after asking what the problem was, as 2 of us had finished ours and the third person at our table still waiting, the manager said the last was finished and this third one was from a new batch. Why were we just left waiting?
The Apple tart and cheesecake were 5 stars in taste though. Nice second hand book shop next door. Plenty nearby parking.

The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and efficient. I have enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches here: the atmosphere is pleasant and calm. There is a wide variety of menu items and the chef's specials are very good. They also serve excellent coffee and fresh baked cakes. Definitely worth trying out.

Went to Hodges for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't planned and in fairness it was 13h30 when we got there.
Three of us opted for the roast lunch and frankly it was poor. The food was tasteless and the meat was scraps rather than slices.
Will not be going back again for a meal.
May go back for a coffee, but not for a meal.
This place has gone backwards over the last few months.

Sadly the roast lunch is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Bits of meat that looked like leftovers. Not even sliced. Poorly heated old potatoes. The other veggies and yorkshire pud were ok. Very disappointing lunch.

Terrible place with very Bad service and had to wait for service. A Fat lady in a blue shirt bumped over a glass dish and walked out. 10min later we left only to have the owner shout and swear at my wife for braking the glass dish when she never ever went in side the shop. The owner never cared to make sure we were looked after and then he made an effort to shout and scream at the wrong person's my wife.

I will never go back again. He is lucky I dont for his sake I dont
