Very specialised Chinese place that caters for bus loads of tourists. However walk-in customers are welcome. Try the set menu, it is very good value for money.

Mrs. Penn does a spectacular job of providing real authentic food from the Cantonese region. They use fresh, seasonal vegetables with quality proteins. They have traditional, special meals from time to time which you can request - we had rock cod with fresh veggies the other day which she called us to tell us was available.
The atmosphere is great for 5 to 8 people around a round table, spinning the lazy Susan around to share a bunch of meals with friends, ask mrs. Penn to select some good dishes.

Never had a more unpleasant experience at a restaurant. The owner/manager is the rudest women I have ever met. Plonks the sizzling dish in front of my wife and I, splattering all over us, doesn’t apologize, turns around and leaves. Has a shouting match with one of her staff next to our table. When we raised the issue, promptly dismissed us. Turned her back on me after settling the bill. Totally unacceptable! Avoid at all costs.

This is the WORST dining experience I’ve ever had! The owner is EXTREMELY rude! While we were there, she had a brawl with one of her employees right in front of us and when I asked them to take the argument inside she told me that it’s her restaurant! When she brought the sizzling beef oyster she let the oil splash all over us and she didn’t bother apologize. She did not come to our table once to ask if we were enjoying the meal, although she was sitting behind us the whole time! When we asked for the bill she still expected a tip! When my husband tried to complain about the service she walked away and started talking to her husband loudly in Chinese (I’m sure she was complaining about us)

Really bland, not worth what you're paying.
I ordered a Sweet and Sour chicken with rice for takeaway, and was disappointed. The Chicken was bland and sparse, the rice was dry and slightly burned, and the sauce was given in a small container on the side.
I know of many other restaurants that prepare this particular dish very well and charge less. I see no reason to come here again.

Chinese lady that served us was disinterested and unfriendly. Food was very pricey R407. 00 and they added the tip of R37. 00. The beef was nice and they chow mein was ok but extremely greasy. I would definitely not tip her.

A good old style Chinese restaurant, complete with set menus. Food is very good and very reasonable. While some may find the decor very dated, we feel it adds to the experience.
