We drove from fourways, food was made quick, the portions were really big. Was worth the drive. We started eating on our way home. Tastes amazing.

Great quality traditional Fish u0026 Chips. LONG LONG wait times at peak periods. They will take your order over the phone and tell you what time your estimated place in the queue equates to BUT they only cook when you arrive so you do need to wait. Advantage is fresh, hot food.
Medium is good for 2 people if you are not too hungry or one very hungry person.

Exceptional service! Friendly staff/owners! Got my fish and chips under 10 minutes and it was delicious and huge portions (We ordered medium fish and medium chips with a tartar sauce for R145 - massive bargain).
Update: so we didn't finish our food because of being so full, but guys, if you have an airfryer and you reheat/airfry your leftovers... Amazing! Tastes just as fresh and crispy as the day you bought the meal! I'm very impressed because lots of fishy foods never taste as good the next day, and my leftovers tasted amazing! Very impressed! ????????

Better than my fondest childhood memories of the good stuff you used to her from the corner café.
Great service and friendly staff with less than a 10 min wait after 6:00 pm on a week day.
So delighted!

Our fish was better than a while ago when we bought food from Fish Hook. Fish was fresh. Many people complained about the food on fb since the new owners took over. The chips, though, still need much improvement. We hope the management can improve on it.

The best fish u0026 chips in Johannesburg! Big portion sizes and very well priced. Service is great. Definitely worth a visit.

Still the best fish u0026 chips in Joburg! Super generous portions, delicious fish and perfectly made slap chips. The taste is like being transported to a little fishing village at the coast!
