McDonald's Randburg Drive-Thru

I unfortunately go here sometimes just for the enjoyment of McDonalds and because it's the only one near me. In February, I parked in their walled off parking, walked in to get an ice coffee, walked back out and my window was smashed, laptop stolen. People started to notice, crowd around and stare. I had to go and call the manager out, which took a long time, he did not offer to help with anything, he simply stood with his arms crossed and watched me pace around phoning necessary parties. When I asked for help and if there is camera footage available. He shut me down, saying that footage won't be touched unless there is a police case made and an officer comes and asks for it.

As I've mentioned, I go back from time to time and I've seen broken glass in another parking bay before, so there has probably been more theft. Twice, I have seen guys pretend to be on the phone, walking around the cars in the drive through, looking inside. So much so, that I had to ask an employee to get someone to check them out.

All in all, if you are desperate enough for MacDonalds, I'm sure you will get some nice food, but you may be at risk of getting robbed while you are there. Not a safe place.

After waiting in the drive-in queue for 20 minutes, I was finally able to place my order for hot chocolate, and was told there was no milk. The overall atmosphere was one of the staff being frazzled and unprepared for the demands being placed on them. This, along with there being no milk, indicated there is a management problem at this Macdonalds franchise.

Macdonalds is supposed to be quick and efficient and offer “fast food”. Disappointing.

Service is terrible with these guys. The orange juice always flat, like they pour water into it. That ain't cool. They mess orders up 80% of the time, either an item is missing, or they deliver something totally different. They have the worst service ever.

I always get errors with this McDonald's via Uber eats. It's like you guys don't care. If it's not an error it's missing. I called and they lied and said they will deliver the next day.

The drive thru took forever to move but once it moved after like 10 minutes or so, everything was okay. I loved what I ordered

Always used the drive-through. Service is relatively fast most.of the time but can be quite slow sometimes.

They can improve a bit on friendliness but otherwise I can't complain. The Food is very fresh.

Great place to catch up on emails whilst loadshedding is happening... always with a nice breakfast or lunch option... friendly staff.
