I absolutely loved it. It is a parkrun for all types of runners, the serious runners, joggers, power walkers, social walkers and dog walkers. I will be sure to visit again! Thanks for the awesome experience. For the newbies, be sure to also visit the website.

Lovely, challenging course. Volunteers are awesome. The grass is usually wet though so preferably don't wear light coloured shoes

The Parkrun was very well organised
Volunteers was supportive and friedly
Excellent motivators
The municipal support will be needed the grounds are filfy and polluted
Dangerous objects in the way of the runners , elderly members walking can get injured to avoid the broken glass.
It use to be such a beautiful Park

Enthusiasm lifted the spirits. Our first parkrun at Len Rutter Park was met with a number of runners in pajamas - what an enthusiastic bunch, more so the many volunteers. This Parkrun #327 had 693 runners - in July, on an overcast day ! Parking is plentiful. The run does two laps around the park, is varied with climbs and downhills but it doesn’t seem to bore, with the changing scenery of grassland and trees which follow the river line which ends in Florida Lake, much further on. You’ll pass the displays of the Rand Society of Model Engineers club after a short section along Louis Botha Drive. Marshall’s are there to guide. One section is rocky and a lady fell but was helped along by two gentlemen who willingly set aside their Park best for the day. The odd litter dumps and state of the river do dampen what could be a well kept park. Well done Roodepoort for turning a cold, overcast day into a memorable occasion with your enthusiasm.

Fairly hilly and uneven course with some bottle necks on the route but still enjoyable. Elevation gained 47,3 meter. This parkrun has very basic toilet facilities.

When I arrive at Roodeport Parkrun and I see George Terrance Taylor my day is made. He is such an inspiration.

Pleasant parkrun amongst old trees with friendly and cheerful volunteers.
Stay on the path as there are uneven patches along the route
