Truly excellent stay with the most amazing staff. Anastasia went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable and looked after. She is a true gem and makes the most amazing food. Would recommend this place just because of her. Rooms are also comfortable and clean.

Honestly it’s a decent stay but what got this place its 5 stars from me is it’s employees! I had to stay there for a night and had trouble finding my way in JHB and the MANAGER gave me tons of tips and short cuts to help me out. All their staff was incredibly friendly and honestly made our stay amazing! Thank you so much for taking care of the lost Free Staters! ????

The short and sweet.
This is not 4 star quality, yet you pay for 4 star luxury and service. Just Get different accommodation.

Details:

We came here for a family get together after not being together for a year and wanted to be pampered. We instead have found the following:

* The baths are not the same as depicted on the website, despite getting the busselton luxurious suite.
* Several utilities were broken in the EXECUTIVE suite, including handles to the tables, the curtains and the drain that was not only dirty, but the top part was disconnected, the second room that we have booked had a broken pipe.
They then agreed to give us sandwiches for lunch (to make up for the terrible room state), which we later found out was not free.
* Food - Small portion food that is below is mediocre quality dinner (no lunch, Mr D was suggested... After the price we payed... really?).
We payed R180 per person for the dinner and it would've been better spent at Mcdonalds ...
* Empty promises - Upon arrival a welcome pamphlet was left on our table stating that there are HOSPITALITY soft drinks, beers and wine which were not provided in any way shape or form.
* From the two rooms we booked 2, both had ONLY 1 bar of soap each... Sorry hair, no shampoo for you.
* Dirty unmaintained pool.
* NO OTHER ACTIVITIES???? Just a swimming pool.

Thandi tried to assist but the fundamental issues are with the suite and quality of the "hotel".

We have payed top dollar for a luxury 4 star hotel (as depicted on Google maps and the website) and have gotten mediocrity (at best).
Our dissapointed is immeasurable. It may have been 4 star once, but CERTAINLY not anymore.

We will not be returning.
Steer clear of this place, twas truly horrid experience for the price.

What a joke of a place, but I guess business is to good to be bothered by a booking of 14 people for 9 weeks. So if you are looking for a reliable Guesthouse whom will secure your booking, rather look elsewhere and steer very far clear of this joint as they will foresure screw up you booking. The bookings are made by a call center in George, whom seem to be stuffing up big time and left us with a large amount of guests without accommodation. Every time I was there the Wifi was just about non existing if available at all so they should actually remove wifi from their offered services all together. There is alot more negative to say about this place but I am sure I have painted a clear enough picture to give the next unsuspecting visitor a heads up on what to expect. So be warned this is one of the worst choices you can make in the area.

I really enjoyed our stay, we booked last minute but Our host Hermanus made sure we were well taken of. Its a hidden Gem ???? The breakfast is Devine ! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place any day!

Beautiful and tranquil right in the middle of Johannesburg. Pure countryside feel in the city. Don't take my word for it, go check it out yourself and experience the fresh breeze in this beautiful and classy establishment!
