Bryanston parkrun

A slightly hidden portion of the Braamfontein Spruit is the setting for this Parkrun. Kudos to the residents of Bryanston for maintaining the grounds and the stream, although in some areas litter was still visible. A lot of new planting has taken place next to the trail itself, to provide shade and photographic opportunities. If you're new to the Parkrun scene this is a great way to start as it's pretty level and straightforward.

Enjoyed the course, especially the beautifully maintained river section with its expansive garden beds.However not enough marshalls .Front runner took a wrong turn. Consider marking the course with arrows painted on rocks etc. One very muddy section on the course.

Always clean, even though frequented by dog-walkers. Friendly community. Gardens are being extended...using the reeds and plants already growing there. River is running nicely, wetting the beautiful plentiful rocks.

Great community feeling, and great team of Run Directors and volunteers. But the grass have been overgrown for months, and it's often a swampy run through mud. Runners don't clean up after their dogs. Way too crowded for an enjoyable run.

Very nice parkrun. It is always very busy though. Be sure to stand in front if you are a runner to get out of the crowd. The volunteers are always very nice. It is a rather flat course so if you are looking for a fast run this is yoyr race. There is not a lot of trees so on sunny days it is very hot.

Very nice parkrun. The track is quite even and the grass was cut nicely specifically for the run when we were there. This was the best attended run I've attended and the track was suited for the purpose. We had to wait a long time to get scanned afterwards though

Start and finish is opposite the Riverside Shopping centre but no parking permitted in the shopping centre so it is a bit of a 'warm up' walk to get to the start. Route is out and back along the rivers edge and a little detour 'inland' so very picturesque. Well marked course, secure. Great volunteers.
