I went in Iris Garden today around lunch time. The restaurant is nestled in a quiet spot in Rivonia.
The staff was really friendly and very accommodating.
I had a hazel nut latte and tasted the blue velvet macha. The barista does awesome designs on the macha.
For the mains I had the Iris Garden breakfast. This came with a chicken vienna, grilled halloumi, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms and ciabatta bread. It came with macon but they happily swapped that out as I don't eat that. It was substituted with avocado.
Overall the breakfast was mediocre. The eggs were poached to my request which was great. The halloumi was thin strips and seemed dried out.
The prices were on the high side but the food could have been better. The atmosphere was chilled for a Saturday meal.
I would consider returning to try their baked food as they looked great but I was stuffed after the meal so couldn't try them.
