Fantastic food and amazing service! Even in loadshedding they manage to use it to create a romantic setting to make for an unforgettable dining experience. Would recommend the Lanser's on main dining experience to anyone.

Ambience... soft, just beautiful, my kind of place. The steak I had was tender, beautifully seasoned, very tasty. Wine... Oh my goodness, I had red wine and in most places it is hot, close to being a hot beverage. At Lanser's their red wine was a perfect temperature, not hot, not cold, I'm super impressed!

Good ambiance but food a little plain. The pizza base dough is sweet - not to my liking..... And, further to the response - I did mention to the manager that the pizza base was sweet, he seemed pleased. It really should be changed... But perhaps I am not a great representation of current clientele.

Awesome food. It took our waiter a while to realise that we were there for a quick business lunch, rather than a long relaxed 3-course meal with lots of wine. But when the penny dropped, we enjoyed our meal in good time. Will have to come back for that leisurely meal!

Last night we tried this restaurant for the first time. We got there for our reservation at 7:15. From the moment we sat down we being raced by a waiter to order our food because the kitchen closes at 9pm. At 8pm we ordered a starter and would have ordered mains by about 8:30. I called to speak to the owner because our evening was becoming increasingly unpleasant. He was so rude and told me that he was not going to stand and discuss it. He then stormed off. So we decided to call for the bill and we went somewhere else for dinner where we were treated properly. I have never had such a bad restaurant experience in my life.

Owner/chef greeted us, told us specials and checked on us a few more times during the evening. Impeccable service from our waiter, great wine selection, mussels and steak tartare stole the show. Main were also good. Nice ambiance. Need to book as the restaurant gets understandably busy. Will definately be back, we so enjoyed the experience.

Came to Lanser's for a food and wine pairing evening and was not disappointed!
They were awesomely generous with their wines and the food was delicious! Portions were perhaps on the small side but Lanser himself organised another plate of mains for my girlfriend and I to share to make sure we didn't leave hungry! The staff were also very friendly and jovial!
Will definitely try to attend the next food and wine evening!
