Maybe this place WAS nice but it’s in need of a deep clean and purge of the communal areas. It feels like a cheap hostal with the bare minimum amenities and threadbare and worn out seats and furnitures… also we were scammed upon leaving where they double charged us for the room we stayed in because it was two of us in the couples double room…they didn’t make us aware of this when we booked online and arrived or during our stay but just as we were going to the car we had to pay another overpriced amount for a very disappointing and underwhelming stay.

Pictures definitely do not show the actual place. It’s run down. They charge you double what they say your charge is on check out. If you email the owner and complain he is rude back and basically says too bad we don’t care. Wouldn’t ever recommend

False advertising on website, frauds!

Paid online for a couple room for TWO GUESTS. Was charge again for having 2 people in the room.

Rooms are dated. Look nothing like the photos!!!

Owner is not helpful.

My stay there was amazing , nice décor although carpet needs deep cleaning. Breakfast was great . It was worth it :)

Stayed here over the weekend with some friends. The friendliest people you will ever meet with great service! The location is also perfect as its a 2min walk to town and the surrounding restaurants. The turndown service with a warm water bottle shows you the extra mile the staff goes to make your stay enjoyable.

Albarosa Guest House is one of a kind. A homely, well-looked after guest house with loads of charm, set in a special street in Stellenbosch (central, but quiet). The service is warm and attentive, with all kinds of special touches - like a warm water bottle at night! Breakfast is also a delight - they can cook you up any warm breakfast you like. The luxury rooms are worth it if you want to experience all the character this beautiful house offers, but the standard rooms also offer everything you need and is of a high quality.
