It was a wonderful stay. Our host went out of his way for us. We had to come in late several times and he made sure we got back safely. The house is basically a museum and cared for by the 7th generation. The room was comfortable and there are evident efforts to save water. There were also little details in the room that you don't know you need until you do... The grounds are breathtaking and there is a pool and a rooftop garden. Tranquility and beauty surround you when you walk down a glass hallway. It stands out from the already beautiful Stellenbosch area.

An unexpected surprise and very good value for money stay in the centre of Stellenbosch. We received an excellent reception, a well balanced breakfast and overall high quality service in this well maintained guest house that has been in their family for many generations. And if you are lucky the host might invite you to a special visit of his family museum. I loved the old historic feel mix with modern finishes. I highly recommend Caledon Villa to an appreciative guest

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay here during the "Woord Fees". For me personally it was extra special to spend some time here where the history of the Kriges in South Africa has been researched by the owner Johan Krige. Even during load shedding we were served a great breakfast every morning.

I have stayed at Caledon Villa many times for my holidays in SA, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I would recommend anyone booking their holiday stay there. The rooms are nice and spacious, with a fan to cool one down, the walk to the town centre is short and the garden/pool area is wonderful and usually very quiet. The owners Johan and Ode and all the staff are friendly and helpful. When I will be back to Stellenbosch I wouldn't think of any other place I'd rather stay (and I have stayed in several in Stellenbosch).

Lovely, quaint and cozy... perfect get away to relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings. Very close(within walking distance) to restaurants and cafes.

The place is so well decorated and beautiful, Its in a safe part of town, the staff is pleasant, the rooms are comfortable. I would stay there again

A comfortable stay whilst visiting on a wine tour that was coordinated by the team at the Caledon. Enjoyable swim in their pool!
