We thought we'd just pop in for a wine tasting as we had taken a drive out to Stellenbosch for the day. We were not expecting the royal treatment we received, from the moment we walked through the doors!! We were warmly welcomed and made comfortable in the lounge area. Amy, our hostess, was really amazing. She explained each of the wines we selected in a way that really communicated her genuine love and appreciation for, not only the processes, but also the stories behind the wines. We've been for loads of wine tastings, but this experience was truly made unique because of how well Amy looked after us. I would highly recommend a visit to Clos Malverne. Their menu is a delight, and the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff are simply bar none.

So disappointed when we couldn't do the ice-cream pairing, as we did not book in advance. It was the only thing on our CT trip (from Jhb) that I simply hád to do. We were staying with friends, so couldn't really plan itenarary in advance - and most places cater for occassional walk-ins. I even went back to the Facebook ad in Feb, and it doesn't mention booking as compulsary.
That aside - the property and views are lovely, and the wine really good.

Wine paring was surprisingly very nice. Who thought wine and ice cream go together. The wine is beyond delicious. This is my new favorite wine

Very disappointed, not impressed. We wanted wine tasting plus something to eat. Decided to visit as there was no indication that they were closed for renovation only to be told they open 2 August again.

Never expected wine and ice cream could go so well together. Beautiful view, friendly service and the milktart ice cream was the best ever!

Their face book page says, come without a booking, drive 30km to hear we had to book.
Good that JC le Roux is just down the road.
