Gino's has been serving Italian meals for more than 40 years. The menu offers hearty food and caters for everyone's taste.
Had Sunday lunch in the outside area. It was packed to capacity- surely a good sign. Service was a bit slow due to the high volume of customers. I had a pizza that had a generous topping of mushrooms,olives,ham,
salami and artichokes. My guest had a generous helping of Ravioli - also very tasty.
Gino's is a perfect family restaurant with a wide selection on their menu.

THIS is how I remember Gino's... simply superb!
The pizzas are as they were 30 years ago and the venue is a Cape Dutch home with beautiful wooden beams flanking the inner roof.
The owners are 100% hands-on and it always comes through in the quality of the food. I rate their calzone highly: the texture is crispy and fluffy on the outside and the inside is stuffed with fresh ingredients.
The staff can definitely do better with presenting tables to customers when arriving, just by simply wiping the tables down and sorting the cushions along the wall out. They tend to not care too much about how tidy the venue is, but their menu knowledge is good and does salvage the mood.
Try the Mozzarrella in Carrozza for a starter if you're a cheese lover. So worth the calories!
Also, the Tartufo coccao is a delicious dessert... have it with the espresso!

Recap u003eu003e Old school traditional pizza place, indoor / outdoor it’s a perfect mix of a Tuscany-style Osteria (indoor) with some beach club touches (outdoor). Ultimately, exceptional mix of vibes and tastes. We heard buzz and wanted to give it a try, so happy we did it!

Storyu003eu003e Located in the heart of Stellenbosch, at Gino’s will find variety of traditional Italian pizzas and main meals will make you spoiled by choice literally.

Bear in mind to close an eye on service, noisy dining, manners (of customers mostly). Read through reviews and see what’s the pain point. You may be lucky / unlucky with waitron although it’s not just a matter of luck. Tables left dirty and / or unset, clients may be keep awaiting twenty minutes for some attention.

Back to menu, could not believe such authentic place in the heart of Stellenbosch! Mostly pretentious and spread over gentrification, it’s becoming hard to find a hundred percent genuine dine out place in fact. Gino’s established more than 30 yrs ago and has remained genuinely authentic.

Most importantly, flavor u0026 taste are what you miss on here when it comes to real pizza. Crunchy and tasty, rich, generous. OMG!! Menu makes you feel you’ll be topping any even though the more you top up the less crunchy you’ll get pizza.

Anyway, returned three times during our two weeks off Stellenbosch despite Gino’s pricey for a pizza place, in particular on here and when adding up your fav ingredients. However, a must-try ????????

Year round one of the best places in Stellenbosch. Excellent pizza with a vast amount of "build-your-own" toppings. Great drinks menu with a lot to chose from. Gu0026T, Brandy, Wine or a redbull and vodka to get you stared

Good pizza! But come only if your are okay waiting A LOT OF TIME for your food. We were two people, ordered one pizza and one small pasta dish, and waited close to two hours to get our food.
The Staff is very nice! They seem very busy. Waiting times are very long, price also is good.

We use to eat here when we were at US, but years went by and we got the urge. Man o man nothing changed... the food is HUGE and the beers/drinks CHEAP... i know they cater for the students. It was a nice evening popping back into our old lives and enjoying the atmosphere... and so much food, we had lunch for the next day.

Oh yummy!!!!!perfect pizza. The place we measure every pizza against. They make pizzas big enough to share…so everyone can try all their amazing flavours and options. I love their calzone fold over pizzas. A firm favourite.
