Excellent place, quiet location but near shops and restaurants. Rooms are excellent to come home to after a day in the country for a shower and a good night's sleep, beds very comfortable.

I booked the one bedroom apartment in September 2021. Upon arrival, we were told the apartment was not available because they had double booked. Later we found out that they had put other people in the apartment because they were staying longer even though we had booked the apartment first. We were then moved to another property where we were given two separate bedrooms in a house. This place was more like a hostel accommodation than the apartment we had originally booked. It did not feel safe and inviting like the first place. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for the one, this is due to the fact that we did not get what we were promised, we did not feel safe or welcome and the family was split into two separate rooms. The rooms were meant to come with a hairdryer but this did not work and neither did the wall plugs. We were promised our money back for the one night that we did not stay but they never gave it back. The staff were unfriendly and did not want to help us with our situation, they felt that things should be left up to the owner. The owner is never available to speak to and the staff refuse to give contact details for them.

I will never stay here again.

We booked the one-bedroom apartment for 2 nights at Magnolia Place Guest House in September. We saw the pictures and looked forward to staying in the room that we booked. There were 3 of us travelling together, therefore we wanted a particular room. We paid the necessary deposit before arriving and understood that everything was arranged as discussed. Upon arrival Stanley requested we pay the remaining fee and then told us that he had to move us into two separate rooms on their other premises. As it turns out, the other premises is not as well maintained, and it was very unpleasant since we shared one suitcase and were now required to live in two separate rooms. The hairdryer didn’t work, and you needed to prop up your phone charger with a bottle to get the plug to work. Sleeping in two separate rooms when we were travelling together did not help the situation. Next morning Stanley told us that someone was staying at Magnolia for a longer period of time, therefore they got preference to the room that we had originally booked. We requested our money back, so that we could look for alternate accommodation. Stanley promised to refund our money later that same day. Two months and two weeks down the line, numerous phone calls and emails later and we have still not received a refund. Stanley refuses to allow us to speak to the owners. He keeps promising to pass on the message to their accounts department. He won’t allow us to communicate directly with accounts either. He became quite rude when we insisted that we have been very patient, and it was time that our money be refunded.

People partying till late at night. WiFi is not working. No plug for basin,Struggle to get TV to work. Not as advertised. Terrible place to stay. Sorry, definitely not a recommend. Unfriendly staff. Relocated to a different venue than advertised on Lekkeslaap. Terrible place. Like boarding school, even equipped with rowdy drunken youngsters. Unsafe environment and unpleasant conditions. If I had not exhausted my budget for accommodation for the night, I would have left. The shower doesn't even work properly. What a total waste, after driving 1000's of kilometres!!! Never again!

Absolutely horrible service. We were greeted with unfriendly staff the moment we walked into the building. The hostess' printer was not even functioning when trying to print our invoice. We were told there was no breakfast included. We were taken to another room in a separate guest house across the street. Upon arrival, there was no basin plug. The wifi connection was horrible and we were simply told it was because our room was situated away from the router. The television in the room did not even go on and we had to wait an hour to get it fixed. The other guests kept partying until late in the night. I do not recommend this guest house to anyone.

I had the worst experience in 2019 where I was moved from my comfortable room to another that's dark by Management because other people booked the room.

I booked and stayed at the first room.for 2 days then later moved to the dark room unpleasant room for 3 days and had to pay extra fee.

Horrible experience
