Basic and clean room. We booked one of the Honeymoon rooms both of which are loft rooms. Not for tall people and the AC barely did the job. Our room was above the kitchen and we were awaken early morning by the staff preparing for breakfast. And they were very loud, could hear every word being said..or shouted...in the kitchen. The (outside) staircase to the room is steep and in dire need of repair. Personally I think it is dangerous with some of the wooden steps moving under foot. I would not stay in the loft room again. On the flip side we were received well by the friendly lady at reception and she made us feel at home quickly. Breakfast was also good, the croissants were excellent. I would visit again but not in the room we booked.

The honeymoon suite is very nice, except that the roof u0026 doors are quite low. I am tall. I bumped my head a few times. Which was not very nice. If you are tall, request one of the ground floor rooms. Breakfast was very good.

It's a cozy little place and has a homely atmosphere, located at the heart of Stellenbosch. The only issue I faced was the wifi connection which was very poor in my room. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay. I especially loved their breakfast spread, the dining hall and their great selection of music.

I was fairly dissapointed at the facilities vs the price. Our mini fridge stank and was dirty. The bed my husband slept on was horrible, broken and uncomfortable. The access to your room is also not ideal. But I will add, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

The facilities were totally unsuitable, they did not have our booking even though I had email confirmation. They requested we book again in their reception and then showed us the rooms which were not suitable at all and not representative of whats on their site. There were in different locations across the road from the main hotel and not together. There was a strange system of approx 3 locks that had to be opened before entering the driveway gate, front garden area and room, there was electric fencing around each room section which did not give us a feeling of safety rather of staying in a place that was so insecure that each room had to be wired. Two of the rooms were situated down a parking lot behind some garages and down a back driveway. One room was accessed down a dark, narrow alleyway with very uneven paving, where there was a massive tree in the middle of the path and tree roots pushing out through the paving which was dangerous. Overall the rooms were highly unsuitable (one smelled badly of damp) and I feel that we should have been given the option as to whether we wanted to stay in these rooms prior to them taking payment. They have refused a refund which I find unethical as there was no inconvenience to them, as we rebooked at the same time – its not as though they were holding rooms for us. I would ABSOLUTELY not recommend them to anyone staying in Stellenbosch.

A very quite place right in the center of Stellenbosch. The reception staff were very supportive, surprisingly the reception desk closes at 16:00 hours and there is none to address issues which could be brought up by customers. On the other hand breakfast service was very poor and breakfast is served from 7:30am which is a bit late. On two occasions I placed orders and waited for over 20 minutes to be served and nothing was brought on the table and had to leave to catch up with time. On the second occasion I made an inquiry only to be told boldly that they forgot that I made an order..Housekeeping also needs to improve. Beddings are not changed as long as you are still checked in. The room I was allocated had ants and there was a kettle in the room full with ants. The housekeeping team does not even bother to clean the ant infested kettle. Outside the rooms it was all litter as no cleaning is done even right on the door of a room. All in all I was very dissapointed with the service and did not enjoy my stay at this place.
