This is one of the best restaurants to try in Stellenbosch. We went there for dinner and will definitely be back. The ambiance is very pleasant and the food is delicious. The environment is unique as well. They also gave us some complimentary chocolate vodka shots which we absolutely loved.

Went for their 'date night' on Tuesdays and I'm really impressed. The Hussar Grill red wine was so good and the burger patty top-class. For this special, you can choose 2 out of 3 courses and I would suggest to go for the starter and main in stead of the main and dessert (as we did) because the chocolate martini at the end is sweet enough on its own.

chain restaurant specialising in meat. Decent size portions and reasonable value for money but unfortunately the game steak was inedible; tough and chewy with little flavour. A generally average meal was perked up at the end by a warm chocolate vodka shot.

Good food! Steak was just perfect.
The service can be improved. There's nothing disappointing more than being served what you did not order.

Service and food was excellent, friendly staff and a good atmosphere and Vibe for group or couples. Will definitely be coming back.

The key to any good restaurant is consistency. Consistently serve your good food the same way, people are creatures of habit. The service has to be consistent. No matter who serves you it needs to be to standard. And the Hussar grill in Stellenbosch meets the above. Great meal all around and great service from beginning to end. We were excited to go out to dinner here but we're a little let down. I ordered a medium rare rump, which came out well done but they happily redid the steak for me, unfortunately it came out Blue. While the service was great and we enjoyed the night, I was a bit disappointed that a steak house struggled to serve a great steak.
However, things happen and we would still go back for more, as well as try many other great looking dishes on the menu.
