Bad service from the employees that have served at schoon church. They behave and act to us as we are not welcomed and orders are late and some have been forgetting it until we have reminded them. Please put a supervisor on them so you don’t lose customers because the food is good. Also a tall employee please tell hime to be polite because he is isn’t.

Disappointed with the offering and service at SCHOON Stellenbosch. Suggest you steer clear if you're looking for a sit down cafe.

I had a roast chicken pie which had little filling and the whole pie was small. You can buy better pies at any BP Petrol station for a fraction of the price.
Service was also disappointing. Had to wait 20min for drinks and 40min for food...and they messed up our order. Wasn't going to wait another 40min for them to try fix it.

Your experience may be better if you order takeaway coffee and pre-made bread.

Very cool spot! Fabulous coffee! When I walked in, I knew I was going to have a toasted sandwich, the smell of them fills the shop and they are majestic ????. I am dreaming of that sandwich as I am typing this review. Go. Do it. It is totally worth it. Fresh bread available too. Great spot.

A nice cafe with lots of baked goods on display. Liked the pateis de nata and the croissant which was nice and buttery. So flakey. The hot foods were good but not very large portions. Don’t come if you’re in a rush because the food took over 30 minutes to arrive. Service was average and never came back to check if we needed anything.

Great location, nice art deco interior, decent coffee and croissants.

Didn't like the pasteis de nata, which had a peculiar, chewy crust/base instead of the light crisp base it should have (IMO).

A little disappointed, normally a favorite of mine. Stopped by at 8:30am, shop wasn't busy but took the barista 15mins to make 2 coffees. Croissant was also not fresh.

great vibe, good for a quick business meeting or work session. decent coffee, acceptable pricing. limited capacity.
