this was our first experience when we arrived in Stellenbosch and it was a great start! The food was delicious and portions very generous. I had the seafood risotto which was very tasty. Great selection of wines - service was very friendly, helpful and attentive - they have a deli section and bar - CASHLESS place - very recommended!

Amazing food with a wide selection of wines!

We were looking for lunch and wine in Stellenboch. It was just past 15:00 and most of the restaurants were closing their kitchens. The other restaurant were really slow with their service.

At Back's we were served almost instantly, Billy was an amazing waiter. The food and wine was served quickly and it was very enjoyable!

We visited Backs on a Sunday morning for a quick bite to eat. I love the layout of this place, as it is a double story with a grand flight of stairs leading to the top. The interior also fits perfectly with the old building. The food was very good; we had burgers with chips which were delicious. The service was ok.

What an amazing waiter, very friendly and he knows his menu. The coffee was staggeringly good. The burger patty was great but i felt the bun was not fresh.

Sometimes you give a place a second chance… sometimes you shouldn’t.
Very disappointing experience again on really simple food orders -I mean how do you flop a potato rosti ???? It also doesn’t help you chuck a bottle of cheap balsamic reduction on everything to cover up things. Really nice spot, super friendly staff really bad kitchen… such a pity.

I just enjoyed a light lunch of garden salad and hake at this delightful Deli/Restaurant.

It's such a joy to walk into this venue and to be greated by staff who welcomes one as if you are long lost family.

I highly recommend this Back's outlet.

The food here is absolutely amazing and the service is great!
I had the best pizza I have ever had here. Their coffee is amazing and the staff are on top of everything. I was very impressed and would definitely go there again.
Everyone enjoyed their food and there wasn't one issue. Would recommend to everyone I do and don't know.
