We went there for their High Tea on a Sunday. It's such a beautiful hotel, with music playing to help you enjoy the tea and diverse treats. Really worth your while to join the High Tea! Don't expect Michelin Star quality cakes and treats, but still delicious and the overall experience is amazing.

Had the most amazing fine dining experience. The service is exceptional and our waiter, Anthony, was superb. We had many pleasant surprises as it was an anniversary dinner. The food preparation was just out of this world. Everyone of the staff were great from the time we walked in. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed a breakfast wedding on the patio.
Exceptional service.
Lovely magical atmosphere.
Not a full view of the ocean from the patio.

I expected a more elevated catering experience. The food options was obviously the choice of the bridal party, but the execution of those options felt underwhelming in comparison with the decor and fantastic service.

The Oyster Box Hotel is an institution.

The traditional afternoon tea is sheer delight. Booking well in advance via their website is extremely essential.

Everything is pretty much top notch. The interior is magnificent, food is delicious, piano music beautiful and the staff just wonderful.

Take the elevator to the roof top bar on 3rd floor after you finished high tea at 7:00 pm and savour the view.

Safe parking on site.

We had a lovely stay here, the hotel is truly the definition of a 5 star experience.

The staff were all friendly and the food was delicious. The rooms are luxurious and very comfortable, but are a bit dated and it is slightly complicated to get to. Our room had a sea view which was really beautiful.

Overall we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.

My husband and I got away for a belated anniversary celebration. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. We were treated like we were so important, from the moment we stepped out of the car. The beauty of the hotel, the friendliness and warmth of the staff, the attention to detail- this is a true gem. We were in awe. Our room had everything that we needed and more. A special anniversary treat on arrival and, later, in the restaurant for dinner were awaiting us.
The clock library is a place where I can happily spend a whole day. Waking up to breaker views from our balcony ❤️. I could go on..... This incredible hotel and her staff- we love you. You made us feel at home.

Honestly. This place is mesmerizing. It's very beautiful. It has amazing scenery of the beach. And not to forget the amazing guy that helped us when we first arrived there.
Man top notch service to Justin. He is amazing! Truly amazing. I'll definitely be coming back here.
It was the best experience and treatment I had in Durban for this weekend.

It's a 10 out of 10 for me. I totally recommend this place.
