This was my first stay here. I am happy with everything. White linen standard is essential to me. My room was spacious and clean. It is well equipped for self catering and there is a good amount of plug points. The aircon will be essential in summer for sure.
There is not much to criticize, especially at the price point. If I had to nitpick, the only things I could mention is the kitchenette is a bit dated and there were a few chipped tiles. Seriously nothing significant.
I can definitely recommend Mai Guesthouse and I will be back on my next trip to Bloemfontein.
I wonder if the new owners will improve things or make them worse?

It's a very quiet and secured place. The place was quite clean and neat. The Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly...
The best part about it, it's the fact that it's self catering..However, we had a problem with our toilet cause it wasn't flushing as expected which was annoying..

From the warm welcome at check in, to the clean rooms, lovely firm beds and beautiful linen, one will be hard pressed to find similar value for money in Bloemfontein. Good WiFi, well equipped kitchen and great water pressure in the shower. If you don't like hard pillows, look in the cupboard for softer ones. Good security so you can leave stuff in your car overnight. Sound proofing of the main entrance door a nice touch as my room was at the entrance and I never heard a thing. Fantastic staff. I'll be back, and did I mention the lovely linen....

Beautiful, Cosy, very clean place *you know the place is definitely clean when the shower glass door and shower tiles are spotless.
It has everything you need to make you be at home, from your stove, to pots, dishes, plates, cups, even spices.
The only tinny little suggestion, plz have a private entrance from the outside so o e doesn't walk through reception all the time or have to walk through guest, then it will be 100% but it's definitely a place to be at.

I love the place. It had beautiful spacious rooms but the cleaning service is slightly poor.

Clean, stylish designed rooms, suitable for a business trip. Nicely suitated in the area quite close to shops etc. A recommended place to stay.

Lovely, clean and spacious room with a queen sized bed. Well equipped kitchenette with everything you need. Ideally situated.
