Super authentic Cape Malay food. Very clean looking place. Service was amazing. The owner (man with name starting with S) was super hospitable to me and my South African wife. Even gave us a sample of Cape Malay-style koeksisters - lekker! The bobotie was amazing - don't tell my mother in law! Would highly recommend coming here for lekker kos and a great experience in the Bo Kaap! Went on a Monday or Tuesday night and could park right outside the place. There was also a takeaway section that looked like it had great stuff and seemed very busy/popular.

Kind of wish I could have tried it all, however wasn't feeling my best so just had the rather wonderful vegetarian curry! The roti was wonderful, and I'd heard pre pandemic this used to fill up by the busload - fantastic place!!

Place is nice and food is very tasty. Staff is very polite and friendly. Place to go if you want to explore the muslim area of Cape Town.

I would like to thank the owner as well as the staff for making this a pleasurable visit. The food was presented exceptionally well and came with all the sides. Staff went out thier way to prepare me a side of dahi. Owner checked up on us regularly. Half moons is a must try.

Absolutely divine! I went for the first time in February 2020, and couldn’t visit again until now because of lockdown. If I lived in the Western Cape, I’d visit every week. I’ve tried bobotie, pienang and denningvleis - the food is simply out of this world ???? After all the trials and tribulations of the past year and a half, I wish Abdullah and his team all the best

Food and service was above average but were out of many items on the menu. Not busy bit I assume because it was a weekday lunch. Located in the older part of Cape Town which was relatively clean and well maintained compared to lots of intercity neighborhoods in SA. Unlike most places I have travelled this restaurant automatically adds 20% gratuity to the check even for individuals and small parties. In the US some only do that to larger groups. I hope that the gratuity foes to the staff and not used by the restaurant as a surcharge.
