What a great venue, although it was dead quiet as I was there for breakfast with work colleagues. I am sure that it can be quite the vibe in the afternoon /evening. The hot chocolate was great and the breakfast meals looked yum. The service was fast and efficient, from placing orders, receiving meals and paying. They do not have snapscan nor zapper.

There is plenty of paid undercover parking, do note that the first hour is free. I was not there long enough to assess the bathroom situation.

I’m so glad Bones is so close, I’ll definitely be coming back for more. The food was amazing. Each dish was unique and delicious! The standard of service was professional and very friendly. Can’t wait to bring more friends here to try more items on the menu. I highly recommend the gnocchi and mushroom risotto!

Arriving at the Palm Design Centre, it was wonderful to see how much effort has been put into upgrading the external and internal building. As I walked towards the restaurant I could not help being drawn to the fascinating little interior shops filled with light and colour. Bones was not particularly full but people started trickling in as we had lunch. My friend had eaten what she called, the best steak in town so she was looking forward to a repeat meal. Her steak was excellent but her chips were soggy. No problem! The attentive Owner changed them immediately for a fresh crispy bowl. I ordered the Pork belly which was tender and delicious although I would have preferred to have a crispier skin. Bones is an ideal business lunch venue or for anyone wishing to have good food in a quiet well structured environment

A great restaurant that serves delicious steaks and amazing desserts, all with a modern look, bustling, energetic atmosphere and great service. If you'd prefer a burger, pasta, cocktail, wine or coffee, they've got you covered. Parking is in the centre parking lot and off street.

I have been wanting to go to Bones for months and since it was Restaurant Week, I decided to finally check them out. The Restaurant Week special was a 3 course dinner for R300. The restaurant was really accommodating. The set menu didn’t have a vegetarian starter, but they made a plan for me. If that wasn’t sweet enough, they gave us a pre-starter to our starters! For our pre-starter, I had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and my boyfriend had a Parmesan bonbon. For starters, my boyfriend had the pork croquets and I had the parmesan bon bons. For mains, he had the pork belly and I had gnocchi. And for dessert, we had panda cotta. The staff were also really friendly and you could tell everyone there was passionate about their jobs. I’m honestly eagerly awaiting my next trip to Bones!

This gem is tucked away in Woodstock, it is something you have to hunt for when you finally park on the street.

Decor and atmosphere is great. The steaks are extremely well prepared. It is on par with cattle baron which is my go to steak house. I would recommend bleue rate for the fillet steaks. A must try.

The service was quite poor - they had a difficult time to explain to us that if we used the entertainer, there are several meal options that can’t be used. Just be wary and ask them to explain in full. The poor explanation and confusion ruined it for me.

I would return !
