From walking in to receiving the freshly made meals, this spot has been an absolute experience. Worthwhile popping by and ordering their longisland iceteas and enjoying the energetic atmosphere and staff. The jalapeno poppers and chicken strips are a bomb!

Nice ambience. Good waiters for food and decent menu and kitchen. What kills it is the bar staff. The locals say “this is Cape Town we just deal with it”. It is like watching the three stooges run a bar. Total incompetence at all stages. You need to ask for drinks two or three times. They forget your order. You watch them stumble over each other confused. Then it takes another ten to fifteen minutes for your bill to arrive. And you may be extorted the next day if they didn’t bill you right the first day. I would encourage them to hire a bar manager from any other city in the world to clean house. With proper management I think it would be a five star spot.

Love Manhattan! As a tourist, I felt very at home. The staff is so friendly as is the crowd. I met different folks there each night I visited. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the music is fun. Gabriel, Colin, GueGue and Brian provided excellent service. I’ll be back!

Tasty food, a good selection of drinks and friendly staff are the perfect combination for a great time at Cafe Manhattan. They have two patios for outdoor dining and an indoor fireplace that creates a cozy indoor space. Dont forget to check out their happy hour specials.

Seems like a nice joint if you are a local. We, as tourists from Mpumalanga, didn’t feel welcome. Maybe next time. Will try and visit again.
