Another OMG hidden gem. Italian food at its best from starter to desert. Our party group had an exclusive experience. Balanced flavours a must try and experience. Cost efficient worth every cent. Meet Enrico the owner, gotta love old school cooking experience and expertise.

Amazing restaurant and service. The owner is very friendly his name is Enrico. For starters we had octopus carpaccio and veg buratta. We had da Luca to drink and Prosecco and some burr ate. For mains gnocchi and delicious lamb pasta. Highly recommended! Great vibe very cosy for winter,

A huge Thank you to Mr Enrico and his staff for accommodating us at the last minute. Such a warm and cozy environment. A little piece of Italy. Such a relaxed, quaint and homely atmosphere. As for the food.. Let's just let the pictures speak for themselves! Yum yum yum!

Definitely one of my favourite Italian eateries mostly for its cosiness. The food offering is not incredibly exciting with mostly the same pasta dishes on offer and never a baked melanzane parmigiana, risotto or cannelloni. Prices are somewhat inflated for essentially basic pasta dishes.

My partner and I felt spontaneous and decided to visit Osteria Tarantino because of it’s highly rated reviews.

Getting there we managed to get a table. We had a lovely, small portioned dish to share as we had a big lunch.

Paying the bill was an extremely uncomfortable situation as the owner told me that I should’ve come earlier (instead of my big lunch) or not come at all. Insinuating that I spent too little money at the restaurant and that I don’t matter as a customer. I wish I left the place feeling as welcome as the other reviews stated.

A must visit if you are looking for delicious and authentic Italian food in Cape Town! This is a beautiful and intimate restaurant, with a great atmosphere, and appeared to have what looked like very happy and returning customers.
We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owner Enrico and thank him for making us feel so welcome. Our waiter Mustafa also provided fantastic service, and we also got to thank the chef who was friendly and a superb cook! All three of them even went out of their way to help us order an Uber when leaving as we were having network problems with our phones.
We will definitely be visiting again when we are next in this part of the world!
