A statue of man guy with a moustache making an eerily familiar hand gesture. Just going to leave this here

Lovely spot to stop off to have a scenic meal...

The Gardens are beautiful in December. Lots of activity, families having picnics etc. Played giant chess. Saw about 5 vagrants, or ‘boemelaars’ in Afrikaans, sleeping under trees or on benches. They mind their own business. The old man Cecil John Rhodes is still there, doesn’t look like he made it to 50, but he had an enormous impact in that short time.

Respect for a founder of a country that was sold out... And then turned into a bunch of ruins!

For a statue. Not bad.
