Great location, always felt safe leaving the hotel and coming back, regardless of time of day. The hotel is clean, small, comfortable and with nice facilities. It feels more like a family home and people working there feel like a family. The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel, especially Shelly, such a sweetheart! They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to visit and dine and helpful at any moment! And the breakfast was the yummiest breakfast ever!

Quiet and cosy. Far enough away from the noise and close enough to walk to the waterfront. Belinda at Travel Insights Melbourne you have done it again thanks so much

Unforgettable. What an experience. Had the pleasure of staying here recently. Great location which is easily accessible to and from. There are only 10 rooms so it's quite quiet, which really adds to the experience. Lastly, the most unforgettable part of our experience here is the staff. Truly wonderful. They are friendly, and treat you as people, not another customer or a number. A special mention to Shelly, who is an angel!

Overall, Dysart Boutique Hotel is very good as long as you don't expect it to be a luxury hotel with a lot of amenities.

First, the location is great: centrally located in the Green Point neighborhood which has plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Additionally, it is a short drive/uber to Sea Point, Camps Bay, Vu0026A Waterfront, and CBD. There is a supermarket and liquor store within a 5 min walk, along with a great breakfast spot, Jason's Bakery.

Additionally, the staff is wonderful and go out of your way to make sure everything is wonderful. Shelly is great at the front desk, and wants you to enjoy your stay. She even ironed clothes for us because the rooms do not have irons.

The hotel provides breakfast included in the stay, but we did not take advantage so I cannot comment on it. Also, there are 2 pools. One overlooking the neighborhood as an "infinity type" and a small plunge pool. There is ample lounge seating around the pools.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room "XXL" and it was huge along with a private patio. The toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom, there was a sitting area, and a king size bed. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower, tub, and two sinks. The bed was comfy and the pillows were solid.

The negatives of the place are that it still uses keys and there are multiple keys for the front door, room door, patio door, etc. Additionally, you have to use a key to get out, not just in. In the day and age where things are automated or on a key card, this was frustrating. Also, the place doesn't have a generator and is at the mercy of Cape Town's rolling blackouts (The city is divided into a big grid and depending on the time of year there are multiple blackouts for 2 hours at a time). If the weather is very hot, you will be without air conditioning. If you need to use a hair dryer or straightener in the morning and the power is out then, you will be without that. Etc. This was not disclosed up front and I think if you are a 5 star hotel guests should be aware that there is potential for multiple hours every day that the power will be out. Suggestion to make sure you check the power situation before booking or know that you will be okay without power at times.

Overall, the stay was pleasant and we had no issues. Just that there are some things to be aware of that I wanted to share to potential guests.

Beautiful location with a beautiful staff to match. Staff was extremely friendly with 24 hour service and always their to meet your needs. We woke up to a lovely breakfast every morning and a nice glass of wine on the terrace every evening. You will feel like you have a second family by the time you leave. We will definitely be back. See you next year!!!!!!!!

Beautifully appointed boutique hotel a short distance from Central Cape Town and the V u0026 A Waterfront . A relaxing sun deck by a small pool is complemented by excellent and friendly service, with simple and elegant decor. Book very early though as this does not seem to be a secret location. Rooms are large and bright and well equipped. The management are also very helpful especially when looking to choose restaurants.
