The waiters are pretty friendly. Good location, pretty asthetic indoors, there is a good view of the sea on the top floor.
Prices are relatively okay, not the cheapest but not the most expensive I have seen.

Dnt let the confusion and business stop you from entering Empire cafe...
The wait is worth it. Try the fried chicken livers, we ordered poached eggs with it, cause why not... Back to those chicken livers.. Your mouth will thank you. The chef really puts love and flavor in this dish. It was beautiful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Empire Cafe. From the beautiful view where we sat upstairs to the delicious food and laid back atmosphere to the service, we were impressed. Will definitely be back.

I liked the relaxed warm environment at Empire cafe. The venue was abuzzed with conversation from the regulars when I stepped foot into it.I was immediately made welcome by the staff. I had 2 separate meetings back to back. While I waited I watched the windy world go by while sitting in a warm space with the aroma of coffee and croissants.The young waiter even commented on my jacket that I was wearing. We also had an opportunity to speak to the owner. The meal was great. The ambience warm and friendly Definitely another gem in our beautiful Muizenberg.

Wow, the service was impeccable! The chef was really attentive to our needs and recommended best options of sauce which in my books shows workmanship and pride. Well done! Thank you for the time, patience and care there today all. Real family place. Not so much kid friendly utensils, but that can just improve.

Everything is excellent. Steak egg and chips, tender medium rare, soft eggs. R106. Bacon perfectly crisp. Ex Uitsig and Villa 47 chef. Great sea views. Coffee luke warm though. Quick to heat it
